Bike by Katherine Mitchell

May 9, 2015

I'll be directing a new play by Katherine Mitchell for Salisbury Playhouse in the Autumn...

Want to go for a ride?

There was the first bike: purple, with a pink saddle and silver bell. Then there was the bigger bike and the one after that. And Darren the cyclist of course. And the American. And cycling down to the Farmers’ Market. And the ex.

Bike is a sharp, tough and very funny story about the ups and downs of a girl’s life as she remembers the freedom, the speed, the wind in her hair. The feeling of being alive. Pedal on.

Following a brilliant response to our call out for emerging writers from the South West, this was one of the stand out plays that we wanted to share with you as part of our Original Drama programme.
